About me
- Earth system science and artificial intelligence
- PhD programme at PolyU, jointly supervised with EIT
- Background in water engineering and groundwater science
- Research on weather, water, and ocean forecasting
- Interested in physically interpretable AI
I am LUO Qun (罗群). My work connects Earth system science with artificial intelligence, with a particular interest in physically interpretable prediction.
My background is in groundwater science and water engineering. I have worked on river water quality, precipitation nowcasting, human influences on runoff, and seasonal ocean forecasting. Across these topics, I am interested in how models can make useful predictions while helping us understand the processes behind them.
